Church Street Chip Shop - Eilean Siar

The worst attempt at battered fish that I've ever encountered. So old and dried out that it was like compacted sawdust. Completely inedible. Chips were OK.

Excellent choice, well priced. We ordered 2 x fish suppers, chicken and sausage meals for kids and some sides. Very busy restaurant but seating for dining in and waiting. Very friendly service.

Never seen such a selection on the menu. available. I had ordered Sweet Sour King Prawns but they didn't have them. So a very kind young Gentleman behind the counter(5 serving so shows very busy place) offered to go prepare some for me.How kind.8 in total of which I had to save 4 . We ate here two nights as it was only next door to our accomodation which was easy accessible for me as a disabled person

Perhaps we arrived at the wrong time of day? The place was empty when we arrived but whilst we waited for our order to be cooked, the place was inundated with a constant stream of people so it was clearly popular. I just felt we waited overly long for our order to be cooked and the chips were barely cooked in my opinion with no colour in them. There are tables and chairs inside to eat at should you want to. The clear popularity of the shop however suggests other people don’t feel the same!

Excellent fish and chips very efficient service. It tends to be busy but the food is worth queuing for. I’ve only ever had fish chips here so can’t comment on other items.
