The Breeze - Eglin Air Force Base

Not bad for government work! The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. They have a pretty good selection of food and the salad bar has good variety. One of the best options on base for lunch.

After being closed for many months, The Breeze Dining Facility (DFAC) has finally opened! This place is awesome and one of the best DFACs in the Air Force. I got the Mongolian Grill, which was very well prepared by SrA Calaway. They had choices of 2 sauces. I could not decide between Green Curry or Thai Chili, so SrA Calaway split the noodles and gave me both to try. The Green Curry was fabulous. The Thai Chili was just OK. For the price, the meal was a great value. Besides the grill, there are numerous other eating options. It isn't like the old days when your choice is greasy fast lane or some tasteless meat. However, there is some room for improvement. Besides the salad bar, there are not a lot of choices to eat healthy. Also, before the closure, the middle line had a Tika Masala that rivaled some Indian Restaurants. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, you can't beat the price and if you work on base, can't beat the location.
