Phenix Bar Restaurant - Edmore

I never expected a place to be so good in such a small town. We were in town for a race in MidMichigan and decided to look for something to eat in the city....

The food was delicious, but I was put off by the male cook who wasn't wearing gloves and handled the food with his hands. That was really unappetizing. I don't think I'll be returning.

A wonderful barbecue spot in Elmore. My group stopped by after a race at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex, and Phenix Bar is conveniently located just about 5 minutes north of our route.

I visited this restaurant for the first time since they relocated, and it was the worst experience I've had. My burger was undercooked! The waitress claimed that they prepare them medium-well, but it was more like medium-rare. Initially, they said they could remake it but might charge me for the new one—how ridiculous! However, after about five minutes, they finally agreed to make me a new burger. We decided to leave before eating, though.

A great upscale bar and grill in Elmore! My group visited after a race at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex, and Phenix Bar is just a short 5-minute drive from the track. We were seated right away. I ordered the Phenix Burger, and it was fantastic. Another member of our party tried the fish special, which was quite good. The service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I definitely plan to come back on my next trip to Mid-Michigan.
