Contribuiți la feedbackAs a senior coming here since opening, I am seeing a change in the quality of food on both the senior and regular menus. At first it was outstanding, but now is just average (or less). Have observed the same thing at most other restaurants, probably due to increased wages, staffing shortage, and other industry issues. The venue continues to be beautiful, staff is friendly, but menu items are disappointing.
If I could do 0, this place is really bad, noisy, and the food was not worth eating. fish and chips, not sure when the fish was fried, would not surprise me that it was cookearlier and shot in the microwave, the batter was soft and and way over peppered. The fries are your standard frozen out of a bag, and the cole slaw, was well aged. The other party had a club sandwich, everything was processed, and extremely salty. Not like any club we have ever had, same frozen fries.this is definitely not a place to spend any time or money at.I am surprised that the Salt Iron would have anything to do with this place, has to make me wonder of the Salt Iron has compromised their standards.
Great location with view of the Puget Sound. Service is quick but the food tastes average.
Bland, slow, very disinterested staff, feels like a school lunchroom, very loud live guitar, hard to find if you don't know Edmonds and poor signage, over-priced... With so many decent places for lunch in Edmonds, we will not be back; huge disappointment.
HIGH EXPECTATIONS, HIGH PRICES, BIG BLAND DISAPPOINTMENT Because The Potlatch Bistro was one of Salt and Iron's sister restaurants, and they sent me there for lunch, I had high expectation. I was truly disappointed. The absence of any signage except a single 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper taped on a glass door rear entrance to the senior center made the restaurant hard to find. The woman who took my order at a window in the multi-purpose room conversed with her co-workers for nearly ten minutes before taking my order. My Greek salad consisted of a plate of lettuce tossed in a passable, but bland yogurt based dressing, a few tiny pealed cucumber bits, a tablespoon of crumbled feta crumbs mixed with the dressing, half of a chicken thigh, and a single tiny olive. No spices, tomatoes or onions or spices were in evidence. My guests reported their fish and chips were bland and soggy. Tap water and cans of soda were available to drink, but no sparking water, beer, or wine were. The Potlatch Bistro charges the the same high prices as Salt and Iron, but does not not live up to Salt and Iron's high standards, or to the standards any of its other restaurants such as Market. On the bright side, the ingredients were fresh, and the fish was not overcooked.
