Alvarado's Mexican - Edmond

As soon as we sat down, they brought out chips, queso, and salsa, which was a nice touch. After we ordered, they also served us homemade flour tortillas with butter and some spicy salsa—delicious! The food took a little while to arrive, but we didn't mind; we had plenty to talk about. When the dishes finally came out, I felt really proud of our choice. I ordered the chicken taco salad, which was quite tasty, especially after I added the spicy salsa for an extra kick. Looking around at everyone else’s plates filled with Mexican rice and various entrees made me happy; everything looked just like home-cooked meals from my family. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again—I’m from the south side of OKC, and I was pleasantly surprised!

This is a fantastic spot for Tex-Mex in Edmond. They offer both types of queso on the menu. The service was prompt, and our waitress was very engaging. There’s a great variety to choose from on the menu. Highly recommended!

The food was disappointing. The taco salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chicken, and cheese, but it was tasteless and looked unappetizing. The three cups of queso were all different shades of yellow, showing a lack of consistency. Additionally, the air vents were covered in thick layers of dust, contributing to a negative experience overall. I wouldn't recommend dining here, especially considering that the average entrée price is $14.

This restaurant has a large following of people that love it. I decided to finally try it.There was nothing either positive or negative that stood out during my dining experience. Everything was adequate but there is nothing really here that would entice me to come back.However, since there are many people that seem to love this place. It is worth trying yourself if you have never been there.

I ordered a taco plate and to my surprise the tacos were red shelled and I'm not lying the first bite the whole taco crumbled to nothing I couldn't even hold it like the shell exploded in my hand. My wife ordered a different taco dinner and it was just as bland and dry as mine. The chips and cheese sauce were very bland to. I have to say I eat at chelinos and Las arcos in edmond all the time and never had such a bad experience not once. Save your money go somewhere else this is the worst place in edmond for Mexican food. The waitress was ok and I left a good tip but me and my wife both said On the way out we would never waist our money at this place again. Very bland dry food. Maybe the worst we've had anywhere in oklahoma.
