Calcutta Chinese - Edison

The food here is really tasty and well priced. We usually order dinner combos here. The portion is apt and filling. The owner is very courteous and always talks with a smile on her face. The options are plentiful over here. My wife loves Chinese food and it's tough to find the taste to her liking. I am glad I finally found one!! :

“ok place, not so great...” heard about this Indian-Chinese place from some friends, though it would be worth to go from Morristown to Edison. but this place is not that great. it more like 'to go ' place. Taste is good but not like authentic Indian (i heard it is, but not). we tried momos, chicken chilli, egg role, schewzan rice, Hakka noodles, schewzan chicken. Schewzan rice and noodles were good… service was not that good. for to go-definitely recommended.

In a word, this restaurant is fantastic. While it may appear to be just another Chinese eatery, the owner hails from Tangra, Kolkata, and they serve authentic Indo-Chinese cuisine as much as possible in this area. The flavors are reminiscent of the Chinese food found in Kolkata. It's primarily a takeaway spot, but you can also enjoy your meal on-site. The space is small, yet clean and well-kept. The owner provided us with a warm welcome and personally attends to each customer's preferences. We are definitely looking forward to returning!

I finally satisfied my long-standing craving for delicious Desi Chinese food, and it was heavenly! I want to emphasize that this is truly authentic Desi Chinese cuisine. The lunch combo was a great value for the money, and I will definitely be returning. On our second visit, we tried the spicy chicken wings, which were incredibly crispy and packed with heat—exactly as the name suggests. They are nothing like the vinegar-flavored spicy wings you find at other places. The service was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous.

The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the Sunrise Pizza made for an excellent brunch choice. The coffee was also spot on.
