Formerly known as The Chocolate Tree, it's wonderful to see it back open under new ownership while still maintaining its high standards. A visit here isn’t complete without ordering one of their rich hot chocolates—you won’t be disappointed! The menu is diverse, featuring a variety of options to choose from. They also serve delicious cakes and bagels for those looking for a bite to eat, as well as wonderful ice cream. Additionally, there's a small shop where you can purchase high-quality chocolates to take home.

A charming and cozy café with delicious treats! We tried a slice of the Victoria sponge cake, and it was delightful, although it would have been even better with some fresh berries on top. I highly recommend this place for a lovely dessert paired with hot chocolate or coffee. Currently, they are only open for takeout during the lockdown, so you can order at the entrance, and they accept contactless payments.

I can't express how happy it makes me that Chocolate Tree is still thriving under a new name! I used to visit at least once a week during my student days, and I always enjoyed their amazing chocolates, gelato, and delightful treats. I'm so glad it's still around!

Great hot drinks and eating. the sign at the door has a spell error, it reads columbia 100,% but it should be colombia 100% as Colombian I prefer to read the people spelling the name of my country right, I asked them personally to fix the error, but they do not seem to worry because it has been a month, it has not been changed yet, so please, fix it the spell error, thank you!

Coming to Maytree to get their vegan choc-hazelnut cake or ice-cream during summer became a tradition! They do great coffee and hot chocolate too, and if you fancy some artisan chocolate bars, they sell them too! The staff are always very friendly and polite. I absolutely recommend visiting this place if you are in the Bruntsfield/Morningside area.
