Contribuiți la feedbackI hadn't dined out since 2019, and after a tiring 4-hour train ride, I was looking for a familiar place to grab a meal. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and attentive, and there were quite a few vegan options on the menu. However, I was disappointed to find that there were only two vegan dessert options available - carrot cake and sorbet. Unfortunately, the carrot cake was sold out, but that wasn't a big deal for me as I'm not a fan of either dessert anyways. The restaurant had a lovely decor and all the tables were nicely set up. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely consider going back in the future.
While I typically prefer to support independent businesses, it's hard to deny that Pizza Express offers some of the best vegan pizzas around. Unlike other pizza chains, their style is completely unique. They now have a wide variety of options on their vegan menu. I've tried Nova Pizza several times, and though I enjoyed it, the pizzas were often greasy and hard to eat. It's possible they've improved since then, but I would recommend giving Pizza Express a try first.
Updated evaluation: You now have a really decent size vegan menu. I really like their vegan cheese (brown rice based). You can veganize any pizza and they also have some special vegan mains. Updated by previous review on 2021-07-11
We were disappointed to find Nova Pizza, a vegetarian restaurant, closed when we visited. We decided to try Pizza Express instead and were pleasantly surprised to find a vegan menu available. The selection of pizzas, desserts, and even a pasta dish impressed us. We tried both the classic crust and the Romana crust, with the thinner Romana crust being our favorite.
Definitely catching up to Zizzi's these days 2 great vegan pizzas, good atmosphere and service. Recommended for a good pizza in Edinburgh :
