Frederick's Coffee And Wine - Edinburgh

Delighted to have paid my first visit to this charming and quiet little cafe, thanks to a friend who lives in Edinburgh and knows the nooks and crannies! Splendid selection of sandwiches, salads, cakes, and an impressive breakfast menu also. The wine was excellent. Prices are good. The two young ladies in attendance were perfectly courteous and charming. The decor is very pleasant and comfortable, with comfortable, drawing room type armchairs and sofas, and with a large window along an entire wall allowing a pleasant view outside. A most enjoyable experience and I shall certainly seek to return when I am next in Edinburgh!

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Fredericks. Happy polite staff and delicious food. Enjoyed a ‘morning roll’ of scrambled egg and bacon, followed by a plate of waffles (we shared) with banana topping and a big pot of tea. Would happily visit again and recommend.

Very polite and accommodating personnel, very nice selection of teas, I cannot comment on the wines because I did not have any. They have a very nice cheese plate.

Seated by window with lovely view on to part of the city of Edinburgh. Lovely salmon salad would recommend. Fish cooked perfectly with lovely dressing on the salad. The white hot chocolate was ok tastes more like hot milk so could do with perhaps more of the chocolate. Otherwise no complaints! See photos below.
