Samphire Seafood Grill At Orocco Pier

Last night, my husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Samphire Restaurant. Each course was outstanding, but my personal favorite was the scallop and parma ham starter. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. We will definitely be returning in the future!

The weather was nice and after a walk taking in the views we decided to stop for a drink and noticed this one had a decking area overlooking the sea, we found a good spot. We had a meal booked at our hotel but had we not already booked we may well have eaten here, the restaurant looked great, good decor, the food looked and smelled great.

Impromptu early dinner with the kids after a busy day so lunch menu was still on, had all the snack starters to share, absolutely delicious. Husband had muscles, I had Louisiana crab burger, kids had fish and chips and Mac and cheese as a side. View from the table was amazing, could see all the trains/boats and the kids loved watching the action. Great value £110 including 2 rounds of drinks and optional service charge. Highly recommended we went for similar meal in a similar place recently and it was more expensive and not even half the quality.

Every staff member seem to enjoy their job. Smiles and professionalism from start to finish. Wonderful food to match the wonderful views. There’s a good selection of dishes for different tastes on the menu.

We visited Orroco Pier Samphire Restaurant for lunch today and were really looking forward to a pleasant afternoon. The soup starter had so much chilli in the recipe that I was unable to taste anything else and didn't finish it. The accompanying bread was unusually salty. I was hoping that my main course of seabass would deliver. Both the seabass and vegetables were acceptable however, salty sweet soy flavoured sauce permeated every element of the dish and was overpowering. Orroco Pier is a really lovely restaurant in a stunning setting with excellent attentive staff so it's a real shame that seasoning appears to be so off in the kitchen on this occasion.
