Mr Frangos Grill - Edinburgh, City of

Just had this chicken and me being hispanic compelled me to write this review. I grew up on this type of healthy fast food in South Florida and South America, and it takes me back. The meal was super delicious in comparison to alternatives in Edinburgh, quick to prepare, cheap, and healthy. I would totally recommend this as a healthy food of choice for people who love takeaway or don't have time to cook.

Frangos offer a far healthier alternative to the well known rival down the road and in our opinion, a far taster one.

The worst experience I ever had. Take hours to deliver or no delivery at all. Website says it's open but really its closed.

I love chicken, even better when it's spicy, so Frangos seemed like a good option for me after a couple of beers. I've past the chicken joint a number of occasions and always wondered what it would be like, it certainly looks good from the outside with the bright lights and vibrant colours drawing people in like moths.Frangos serve up portuguese grilled chicken, which can be dressed in a wrap or bap alternatively you can keep it simple and enjoy a naked full/half/quarter chicken.After much deliberation I settled on a chicken and cheese burger, served up medium hot. I took a seat and after a short while my burger was in hand and I was off on my merry way.I took the burger home safe in the knowledge that EdinBloggette wouldn't want to share my spoils. With notebook in one hand and burger in the other I began my research'.The chicken was well cooked and the piri piri sauce provided a nice flavour without being overpowering, although I'd be tempted to go hot next time. The chips aren't going to go down in history, but they are streets ahead of KFC, also it's a much healthier alternative to the rival down the road; and in our humble opinion a far tastier one.I'd happily go back to Frangos, there's a lot of competition on Leith Walk for takeaways but this seems like a much healthier option. Also, on a Monday for you can order a full chicken and chips and Tuesdays are two for one on burgers, if only I had somebody to share these deals with.
