Maggie Dickson's Pub

Incredibly delicious chili with acidic cream, rice and tortilla chips. the bark was perfectly seasoned. I really enjoyed it. also the steak and the Ale Pie was excellent. the baked on the top was flocky and made for a great dish. drinking were also great!

Maggie dickson is a nice pub where we were very well looked after. the renter knew his whisky and can recommend them based on their preference. eating was great, including several vegan options. the haggis, neeps tatties with pfeffersoße was very good as the haggisburger. the vegan mexican from the loaded pommes menu made my wife very happy. there is also a fascinating plaque outside with the history behind the name. photos added . .

Smashing place with comfortable environment, helpful friendly staff and a good atmosphere. there is a good selection of drinks and the prices are decent for the location, i.e. central edinburgh tourist/student case. the layout is quite tight, but it has many seating options. they had live music on Saturday night, in which we were, and it was very good and not too loud to drown our conversation. worth visiting if they are in the opposite.

The employee was very nice. I haven't tried whisky before and he patiently helped me pick what to try. I got the Auchentoshan 12. I also tried haggis burger for the first time. It sure is something different. Happy with my experience.

Great and delicious burgers (besides the other foods in the menu). Twice we went on the same week-long trip. Also good detail about the monthly selected ale. Had a nice surprise tasting it.
