Contribuiți la feedbackThis is the best grilled meat that I have ever had outside of South Carolina. The quality is absolutely exceptional, and the signature homemade jerk sauce is mouthwatering. During my first visit, I tried the brown stew chicken, which was fabulous, but the straight jerk chicken plate I had on my second visit is a must-have. Make sure to keep coming back to this place, even during slow times. I highly recommend checking it out!
This restaurant is newly opened and still has some areas to improve, but the portions are generous and the flavors are excellent. I would definitely make a reservation to come back. I tried the Jamaican ackee with salt fish and goat curry, both of which were delicious. The Guinness punch was a bit unconventional, but it was definitely an interesting experience.
I have eaten in many Jamaican restaurants over the years and I must say that this place has totally bleeded away that eating is incredible. the curry seed was cooked for perfection with the correct amount of seasoned. oxtail fell out of the bone and was well seasoned with a rich engraving. the owners were very friendly, we felt welcome and relaxed the minute we went through the door. If they are looking for a family-friendly, relaxed environment with authentic Jamaican cooking, this is the place for them.
I have dined at many Jamaican restaurants and Jamrock is definitely one of the best. The decor is vibrant and beautiful, and the owners and staff are incredibly friendly. The food is traditional, authentic, and well-cooked, with a special focus on serving meat on the bone for extra flavor. The chicken soup was a delicious starter, and the main courses of curry goat, oxtail and butterbean stew, and jerk chicken were all deep, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The ackee and saltfish was a standout dish, with a rich and buttery taste, and the callaloo was a spicy and flavorful side. Everything was served with excellent rice and peas. The portions were generous, especially for the price of £13.99 for a main course. I highly recommend trying the Sapho's sampler, where you can choose 3 out of 5 main courses with rice and peas for only £22.99. In addition to traditional Jamaican dishes, there are also jerk burgers and pizzas available on the menu, and everything can be ordered for takeout from the attached takeaway next door. Overall, Jamrock offers excellent Jamaican cuisine and I will definitely be returning.
