Cafe Plum - Edinburgh, City of

The free suppe was more than I could have expected, but then I was offered a package of fights without additional cost. my afternoon snack was quickly fixed to one, I took a dose of fizzy pop and announced that I was back. a disclaimer was made that it would not always be like that, I think cafe plum would soon be out of business if she would continue to be so generous for customers. it must have been something to do with the heat, and my future with its decision to close, perfect timing on my part led to one of my most successful sandwich sessions to today.

Popped in to warm up with a very tasty hot chocolate with all the trimmings on a very wet day. It's a small space, with seating for about 10-12 people. Cakes and food also looked very yummy and judging on the people who popped in, it very much has regulars who the staff know well! Would return if I saw there were spare seats to sit in.

This is the fourth visit and the food only gets better. A 10 seat restaurant that serves the best toasties and Bacon n Egg rolls in Edinburgh. My husband had an excellent, fresh cup of coffee and I enjoyed a cup of Earl Grey with a generous supply of lemon slices whilst my guide dog lay peacefully at our feet. This delicious breakfast cost the grand total of 9Pounds. Hard to beat deliciousness at any price. Of course we will return again and again. Charming, helpful service with a smile and friendly people at other tables some reading newspapers and others quietly enjoying breakfast.

Very nice cosy little place. The two owner of the place runs the shop and they are so friendly they looked after us all the way long the time we spent there. The food was very good and filling nice home cooked meal! We will be back for sure if next in the area.

Tiny and friendly, Plum Café serves excellent cakes and tea at very clean tables with the sun shining (well obviously not when it's raining, but lovely in spite of it). Definitely recommend, we looked at every café in Stockbridge and picked out Plum Café
