Called to speak about our late delivery twice, very rude person, first call saying they are getting out (30 min late already) and shouting on me. Second call after 1 hour, food still not out, told us its soon, wait 25 more minutes and for being sorry we will give you extra coca cola can. Seriously? I said no to coca cola. Arrived extra coca cola, no naan, no salad..Food average and very greasy. Cheesecake that we ordered had black hair in it!!!
My partner and I were extremely put off by our visit to 4 Season Spices. The decor is a bit gaudy and looks like a bad Middle Eastern set up rather than anything Indian. But it can be considered cosy if that 's the kind of thing you like. Most tables have a couch on one side and chairs on the other. First impressions were bad we asked to be seated in a corner table near the back as it would have been more comfortable for us and further from the door (it was a cold night! . Our server agreed and we were about to sit down before the chef very rudely told us we couldn 't sit there without explanation. There was no reserved sign and actually nobody else sat that throughout the entire night. The way he spoke was very rude with no apologises and we actually considered leaving then. Menu was okay nothing new just like every Indian takeaway menu my partner ordered a chicken dish and I had the saag paneer, we both ordered it spicy (I think there were options of low, medium, spicy and extra spicy . We also ordered two naan to share. After having seen another tables naan come out all cut up (never seen that before!!! we informed the server we 'd like to have it whole. When the food came my partner (who is Indian who has high tolerance for spice said his food was really really spicy. He even had to ask for yoghurt to cool it down. My food on the other hand baring in mind we both ordered spicy was very very very mild there were spices but it wasn 't hot spicy. The yoghurt that my partner got given was about x20 more spicy than my food. Presentation of food and taste of food was average, nothing special, prefer my own home cooking. Naan looked and tasted exactly like the ones we buy from a store near our home definitely didn 't seem homemade. The absolute WORST thing about this experience is that near the end of our meal the chef sat down on the back table (the one we originally wanted to sit at and started rolling a cigarette! I only noticed when I asked my partner incredulously is someone smoking in here? It smells horribly of cigarettes and then noticed it was actually the chef who had started to SMOKE in the back table!! Customers aren 't even supposed to smoke in restaurants let alone the CHEF. As a PAYING CUSTOMER who was eating in that restaurant I can 't describe how OFF PUTTING and disgusting it is to smell cigarette smoke whilst eating!! I honestly couldn 't believe it. He did go out of the restaurant after a minute or two but that was enough for the smell to permeate all over the restaurant and since the door was open the smell still came in anyway. We did end up paying but wouldn 't recommend anyone EVER eat here. I can 't even describe the arrogance of a chef who would do that.
All right...but not great. Fine for a takeaway at home but nothing special, really. Your regular cheapish Indian food.
Ordered takeaway from here , chef mo special , scotch bonnet , I like spicy so I ticked most spicy and it’s great food
I was excited to try the food from this restaurant, but my experience with their delivery service was incredibly disappointing. After placing my order through JustEat, I was told that my delivery would be delayed by 20 minutes due to a busy night, which was understandable. However, as time passed, it had been over 1.5 hours since I placed my order and there was still no sign of my food. When I called the restaurant, I was told that the driver would be with me soon, but after another 15 minutes passed, there was still no delivery in sight. I tried calling the restaurant again, only to reach voicemail multiple times. Eventually, I had to contact JustEat customer service, who had to speak with the owner of the restaurant. The owner claimed that a driver had already come to my house but no one was there to receive the food, which I knew was untrue as I live in a secluded area where every car entering or leaving is visible. Despite leaving my phone number for contact and requesting to be called if there were any issues with the delivery, the owner insisted that I had not answered the driver's call. It was frustrating to have wasted almost 3 hours waiting for my order, only to be ignored and accused of being at fault. I understand that mistakes can happen, but honesty and communication are important in customer service. Unfortunately, with this kind of experience, I doubt I will ever get to try the food from this restaurant.
