La Tolteca - Edgewood

I needed a bite while driving from Miami to NY. Easy spot off 95. I had the burrito supreme. It was great. Very tasty meats and chicken. Good sauces. I sat at the bar so quick. The place is busy at 1:30 n a Sunday. I'd come back for sure.

It's basically what you'd expect the food was decent and we were seated fairly quickly. It's also one of the only good places to go out to eat in Joppa, which is a good thing. However, my friend and I were seated right next to the bathroom even though there were other open tables. My margarita was good although there was less alcohol in it than I thought. Overall, we had a good experience.

This location is by far my favorite of all LaToltrcas! The food is always consistently delicious. I have always gotten the street tacos or the Chorizo Pollo. Tonight I twas super hungry decided to switch my meal up a bit and tried the Pineapple Fajitas...this meal is what prompted this review! The amount of protein (chicken, shrimp, chorizo) was plentiful the flavor was AMAZING. I wish I had gotten pictures, but I didn't plan on posting a review. If La Tolteca is a staple for you you want to try something wonderful this is the meal for you. If you are trying La Tolteca for the first time I would highly recommend this meal! Oh...and the staff is always super friendly accommodating.

Made a reservation May 1st for tonight, May 5th. I was asked my name, number of guests and time. When my son's family and I arrived tonight I was told they don't take reservations, were full with many waiting and would not give a wait time. We left and they've lost me as a customer. Very disappointing.

Ordered 5 whole lunches. The most crazy thing was that for 5 complete lunches... we only received less than 1 ounce container of salsa and white sauce....for all 5 meals!!. With this small of a container....you should receive one of each for every meal ordered. If you order 1 lunch.... you get this with the same bag of chips.... but if I order 5 lunches.... you Still only give me the same amount????? I know for a fact that the same restaurant in a different location gives 3oz containers just for 2 meals. Completely disappointed! Also private messaged them before writing this and they read and ignored the message. Such a shame! The ground beef in the soft taco meal and enchiladas was also mushy and tasteless. Reminded me of dog food consistency : I 'm a server for over 10 yrs and don 't believe in bashing people but the food was terrible..... they didn 't fulfill the order correctly.... and I even messaged them. They saw it, and didn 't even answer : shame!
