Dairy Queen - Edenton

The food was hot an fresh. We both got the chicken fingers an they were so hot you had to blow on them, which is the way they should be(: I will definitely be going back an the service was staff were great

Lovely staff and the food is always hot. Me and my family go there often. Even the drive thru time is reasonable.

The main parking lot is at the back of the building, and we tried to enter through the back door, which was locked — supposedly for safety reasons. It seems there is a crime wave in Edenton that I'm unaware of. I should have left at that point, but we walked around to the front entrance. Upon entering, I was greeted by signs stating that you must have your receipt to collect your food. In the past, I’ve been there multiple times without even being offered a receipt. Each visit brings in a new staff, which became evident when I saw the owner training a new employee and interacting with customers. While I waited for my ice cream, a woman came in to pick up her food and asked the owner for ketchup, which is notoriously hard to come by here—you practically have to plead for it. The owner tossed a couple of ketchup packets into the woman's bag, but when she lingered, the owner asked if she wanted more. The woman replied she did, and the owner tossed in a few more packets. As the woman turned to leave, the owner rolled her eyes. I looked at my husband and said, "I think we need to be done with this place." Their prices have nearly doubled over time; while this is a trend everywhere, if a few packets of ketchup are going to break the bank, they might as well lock the front door as well. We are very disappointed.

The service and food at this location are generally quite good. I don't have any major complaints.

I requested my longtime favorite Blizzard, which isn't on the DQ menu anymore, and they made it just right for me! I will definitely return. Thank you so much!
