Stayed for 2 nights in a room above the bar/restaurant. Nice and peaceful, attentive staff. Great breakfast between 0830-0930. Had a lovely cheeseboard after an evening meal with the warm of a log fire Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5

Don't eat there Don't sleep there And dont pay up front Worst place I ever stayed Broken furniture Telly old fashioned and tiny. poor reception broken remote, only two channels Dirty bathroom 2 inch gap under doors Wall paper peeling. Nothing at all good to stay about place. If you stay there after reading this then at least don't pay up front so you can cancel after a night. Final thing if getting the food from Asda or other cheep retail shop and then claiming it was made fresh does not put you off then good luck. Zero star

Enjoyed a well deserved cold beer with friends in the garden after hiking to and from Gowbarrow Fell.

Food drinks: We popped in for a meal, no one at the bar so rung the bell, the man turned up very quickly, I ordered the lamb stew, as I fancied something hot, well I was not impressed it was hunt for the lamb very small pieces , it was more like a posh soup and for £17 was overpriced, ordered the apple crumble was not impressed with that either and again £7 for a small serving, we definitely won’t be going back there for a meal Service: 3 Location: 3
