What an excellent experience. Booked for dinner based on a recommendation. Good call. A really lovely village pub. Attentive, friendly staff, excellent local beers the Corby Ale was excellent! And the food was superb. Really enjoyed the main course and pud. Good value for...the Lakes too. Highly recommended!

In the lakes near pooley bridge heavin and long waits for drinks. Decided to go elsewhere found this beautiful old pub brilliant inside great service super meal....highly reccommended.

Excellent. We stopped off for a sandwich lunch and a pint. Rapid attentive service. The home cooked ham and homemade coleslaw on malted granary bread with side salad was perfect in every way. The twice cooked chips also excellent. We enjoy foodie' experiences at Cumbria's...Michelin starred restaurants and the Farrier's food and service is definitely up there with others. It's miles better than the Dog Gun at Skelton.

First visit defo not our last we drove back from keswick and saw the autobahn sign so hungry we were called today and we are more than happy, friendly attentive customer service and top dug just 5 stars
