Top of the Town - Echuca

A day trip to Echuca is never complete until you go here to get dinner on your way home! The fish always looks fresh and interesting which seems strange being so far from the ocean. Regardless, the shop is clean, nothing is over battered and to get a tray of fish and chips ( they put a serve of Tartare sauce and a lemon wedge in too)....do a quick drive back to the Murray and sit at a picnic table as the sun sets.......a brilliant end to the day!

There is none to compare with the fish and chips here. When I lived in Echuca it was our "local" fish and chippery and it still is even though it's a two hour drive, we believe is worth it. The quality can be relied on as always consistent. Batter is delightfully edible, chips are crisp on outside and soft in middle, all perfect. A high standard that's rarely found in every day run of the mill fish shops. The computerised cookers and experienced staff are worth their weight in gold.

My family is a regular at Top of the Town due to the consistent high quality food here. Other fish and chip shops in Echuca can not compete! The fish is crisp to perfection on the outside and smooth, buttery and tasty inside. Chips are flavoursome and never undercooked.Service is prompt and polite! Always worth a visit, you will not regret it.
