Bindingsværket - Ebeltoft

A hidden gem way out in the idyllic Danish corn fields. Vibrant yet mellow coziness is met. The restaurant is beautifully renovated, the same as the restrooms. It's clean and minimalistic decorated with a nordic wipe. The rented room was also clean and nice. No TV! (Good! Just yourself and the beautiful outside surroundings. The food was good. New Nordic meets the French cuisine. Good paired wines in their wike menu (could be more ambitious in some cases, though The breakfast was awesome!!! Overall, it was a great experience. We'll probably return some time...

We had dinner with 6 people on May 19 at this restaurant and we are quite shocked how bad the food has been here. We have eaten in more than 200 restaurants around the world and found this to be on of the worst restaurant. As a starter we had three leaves of spinach, with two (burnt) bimi vegetables, half a small pickle and two tufts of pureed spinach. As a main course we had a small (dry and boiled) piece of chicken, with three chicken hearts and three (hard) carrots. For dessert we had a small slice of white chocolate with a scoop of chocolate mousse. For this we had to pay almost 400 euros. 2700 Danish krone. Then we called off the next day, because we were going to have dinner here for another evening. The gentleman asked if it was to our liking the previous evening. We honestly said what we thought of it. The gentleman said that next time we could eat better in Grenaa, because that was more our style , because maybe according to him this was haute cuisine . Well...I have eaten in several star restaurants and this was definitely not haute cuisine. I give cooked chicken to the dog when he is sick and spinach with bimi is more of a side dish and not an appetizer. This was just a disgrace. As the only positive point I found the gentleman who helped us very friendly and served us well. Too bad, we don 't come here anymore.

Have been there may 2023. What a bad restaurant. Pretending if it is a culinair restaurant, it is nothing.

Really nice place to eat and spend the night. Fantastic friendly staff and lovely food and wine. Good base for a weekend on Djursland for cheap money. If you are staying overnight, it might be very nice to know that there are 4 rooms that all share a bathroom, but for the price and in the charming surroundings, it is only a small but. Five of us went for a whole weekend and would all definitely recommend the place to friends and family!
