Vezi toate recenziile.
I tried the beef brisket in a rich, dark soup base with noodles. The broth was delicious, with a deep flavor and subtle hints of anise. The beef was tender and the noodles were fresh and slippery. It was a fantastic discovery and I can't wait to try more dishes.
I was disappointed by the limited menu options and found the beef noodle soup to be lacking. However, the bao was a standout dish. Overall, I wouldn't return to this restaurant.
Eating here made me feel like I stepped into a small, hole in a wall eatery in Asia. You definitely need to try their intercoastal noodle and their fried basil chicken. The food is filled with loads of flavour and I'm excited to try the other dishes like the trotters and would give the Gwa Bao and dumplings a miss in our next visit. This place ticks service, food and value for money - a great place to grab a quick bite in Chatswood that will satisfy your stomach and budget to allow you to spend money on other non essential items in Westfield.
A nice, small Taiwanese joint. It's a little more expensive than what it used to be but still a cheap and quick feed. Some items on the menu are quite average but there are a few that taste really authentic. The beef noodle soup and eggplant are excellent and the trotters are great too. They also do some decent frozen takeaway dumplings that we sometimes get for hot pot.
So, perhaps unnecessary disclaimer that I was a bit flu'ey when I had this combination beef noodle soup and pork trotters but holy hell this was the perfect, and I mean *perfect*, meal for what ails you. Everything was rich and decadent and just felt like the chef himself was giving you a big warm sweaty hug (strong imagery but this bowl of soup did induce the eat sweats). This if anything is the Chinese version of soul food, and I will definitely be back for more.
