Mango Mike's Sports Grill - Eastpoint

Deidre was a good server, very attentive and checked on us frequently. We had fried oyster dinner and shrimp dinner, both good.

Went with a family of 10 for lunch around 1:00 on a Wednesday. Vanessa was our server and was great. Everyone was happy with the food. We had mahi mahi tacos, shrimp tacos, shrimp and chicken nachos, Hawaiian chicken and kids chicken bites. No issues with any of the food except maybe there could’ve been more tacos. Atmosphere was good, kids and adults enjoyed the corn hole while we waited for our food. We would eat again.

We decided to give this place a shot even after reading some bad reviews hoping that those were a fluke... not the case... not very good at all. I'd have given 0 stars for the food if I could have. Atmosphere was very nice. Everything else was horrible for the most part. It took an hour to get our food with another party coming after ours and getting their food way before ours arrived. My shrimp was super cold and my fries were lukewarm. I ate most of the fries while waiting to tell the server that my food was cold because after waiting an hour and driving for over 12 hours, I was starving So lukewarm fries were better than nothing after waiting an hour to get food. Once she came back, I did have her take the food back that was left and it was obviously just microwaved and returned which meant the rest of the fries were not edible. The only positive was the cole slaw. It was very good. They didn't bring sauces for the food for the other people in our party and didn't bring refills for their drinks until they were asked again. Another member of the party didn't receive their side of curly fries and had to ask for those too. I don't plan to repatronize this place during our stay. Too bad it had great potential.

Servers had no sense of urgency and the bartender was very slow and uncooperative. She made the wrong drinks, never delivered the correct ones during the entire dinner and still tried to charge us for them...

We have visited Mike's twice this visit. Love the vibe. All outdoor seating in a huge Tiki Hut. Plenty of TV's for ballgame watching. Staff couldn't be any better. Food was wonderful. Get the Shrimp Nachos. Trust me. Perfect laid back beach vibe kind of place.
