Contribuiți la feedbackThis spacious restaurant offers indoor and waterfront dining on a deck. We all enjoyed their well-cooked fish and chips, served with a generous portion of coleslaw and sauce. The service was prompt and attentive, with prices comparable to other places. The restaurant is fully accessible and there is a small souvenir shop attached.
Giving this a 1 star because it won’t accept a half a star rating. Late Friday lunch on a holiday weekend. Ordered mussels- they were probably fresh last week, waitress asked how they were I said not good- not fresh, said she would inform kitchen. Ordered blackened Cajun haddock partner ordered the more expensive one not spiced with scallops shrimp. Mine was disgusting and I ate half of my partners fish as I hadn’t eaten since 4 AM. Waitress checked on us and offered to take it back and make something else. I declined. Nothing was fresh and being on the dock location it was a let down. Waitress did everything right and everything was beyond her control. Paid bill tipped based on service not on food. Won’t honestly come back after spending $125 on poor quality food.
There was no one waiting, so we went in. There were three of us. Myself, my daughter and my granddaughter. The hostess gave us two menus, and one children 's menu. She then pulled out a huge bin of crayons and took one brown crayon out to give to my grand daughter to play with. My daughter said, Can we have more crayons, more colours? The hostess hummed and hawed and gave my granddaughter two broken crayons. This was a strange thing, I mean, is there a policy about limiting all those crayons? We then went to a table outside, and it was dirty, but it was the only one with a little shade. We sat at it and waited a while for someone to come. It seemed like a long time, but we caught the hostess again and asked if she would wipe off the table. She asked us what mess had we made? That was confusing, so I said, I 'm sorry? The hostess then said, I just didn 't want to clean just anywhere. I said, Could you just clean the whole table? And, she did so. As if, it was an imposition. Then, the waitress came, and she was decent enough. While we waited for our food we had to go to the washroom, and I asked another server where the washroom was. He pointed to the restroom and continued about his work. He seemed put off by my asking. I got the impression, none of the servers were happy to serve. They all seemed put out that we were there. I don 't know if they have a mean boss, or if they hate their jobs, but it was not a pleasant experience. The food was OK. I will not go back. A bad feeling there.
I dined at this restaurant for a late lunch on a Wednesday in August. The outdoor seating area provides a pleasant view of the Eastern Passage, and the prices are reasonable. Our server was attentive and friendly, however, the kitchen was extremely slow. It took over an hour from the time we placed our order until the food was served. The patio was full, but there was no line outside, so the flow of customers was steady. The fact that the staff did not provide any explanation for the delay suggests that this is a common issue. Despite the delay, we all enjoyed our meals once they arrived. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant if you are in a hurry.
The server was slow. The sign out front said if it was busy there could be a 50 to 60 minute wait. I asked I'd it was busy before we went in. No they said it wasn't. We waited 10 minutes for water or a server. A couple of tables arrived after us and one large table arrived 15 minutes after we got there. They were served first and after asking our server how much longer she said 3 minutes. It arrived hot and that's about the only thing I can say good about it. Very mediocre. Lobster roll looked like frozen lobster and way to much mayo. My club was again mediocre at best. Had to ask for bill. Table never cleaned off Wouldn't go back
