Mr India - Eastbourne

The Vindaloo dish at this restaurant tasted like a mild Korma once I removed the two inches of grease it was swimming in. It was the worst curry I have ever had in Eastbourne. I would recommend avoiding this dish.

This restaurant was very average at best. The food arrived on time and the delivery person was polite. However, the curry sauces were lacking in flavor and it was difficult to tell the difference between the chicken and lamb dishes. The poppadoms were also disappointing as they were soggy instead of crispy. This was my second meal from Mr India since moving to the area, but unfortunately it will be my last. Having experience with Indian food from around the UK and abroad, I was not impressed with what Eastbourne has to offer. I cannot recommend this restaurant, as it does not compare to the quality I have experienced in the past.

I have been a customer of this restaurant for years. However, my meal arrived over half an hour late and cold. I called to complain and was offered a new delivery in 20 minutes as a regular customer, or a discount next time. I was disappointed that they did not confirm what discount would be applied. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of response from the restaurant considering my loyalty as a customer.

Food is amazing nice and hot fresh not spicy just full of flavour me and my partner always go here for Indian takeaway Highly recommend these guys ! Fantastic

We’ve been struggling to find a decent Indian takeaway in Eastbourne for a long time now. But, three different friends recommended this place so we were excited to give it ago. Well, it’s ok so long as you don’t order something that says ‘sweet…’. Both the veg dhansak and veg pathia were so sweet as to be off-putting. They really shouldn’t be that sweet. The pathia had very little chilli heat but the sourness did come through. Plenty of vegetables in both dishes though. The sag aloo was good as a break from the sweetness and the pilau and mushroom rice were also as expected. As is typical with most places it was all somewhat oily. Overall it was ok but our search continues.
