The Big Scoop Family Restaurant

A standard small community family restaurant that has been around for years. Good overall menu with its of different choice. They also offer small and regular sized portions which is a great option. I had the lobster roll and chowder. Both were ok - slightly disappointing actually. The chowder was lukewarm and the lobster roll came on a toasted hotdog bun. A variety of other dishes were had by the other guests and all were satisfied. I would return.

This family restaurant has been around for years, and we always look forward to going there when we are in the area. It is a clean and friendly place, with a broad menu filled with comfort foods -- nothing too fancy. Pretty standard fare, but always good.The ice cream, on the other hand, is always terrific! You can get it inside the restaurant or at the take-out window. Best soft ice cream in the region! The fancy treats (like banana splits) come with very tasty sauces and generous portions. And the flurries are chock full of your favourite flavours. Very rich and creamy, at reasonable prices. Yum!

Stopped in here for breakfast on our way to Digby.Service was great, friendly staff. Place was open and bright and clean.Breakfast was delicious and portions were great all at a great and affordable price Service was quick.Staff were friendly, happy and made us feel like one of their regular customers, would be great place to take the family as well.Would def return.If you are in the area, def stop inTo the staff and owners, Great job guys, keep up the great work ;).

Stopped here for an early supper and were so glad we did. I had the small pan fried haddock with rice and veggies and it was just enough and so delish. My husband had the club and fries. He said it was really good too. My 2 girls each had the small poutine which they both devoured. The menu had lot of choices from clams and chips to hot hamburger sandwiches. The restaurant was clean and the staff really friendly. Highly recommend.

The area really does need a decent breakfast place. We were hoping this could be it and have gone in a couple times for a big breakfasts, which their portions are alright for the eggs bacon/sausage/toast, but the hash browns/home fries are super tiny in portion. Place needs updating even though the staff is fairly friendly. We have enjoyed our meals every time we have gone in, but portions were more suited for seniors.
