Amsterdam Barrel House - East York

1) Our server, Catherine, was wonderful—cheerful and very attentive. 2) The fish tacos we ordered were amazing. 3) The Caesar salad was fresh, crispy, and very flavorful. 4) The brisket was likely the best I’ve ever had, even compared to my time in Nashville. However, there was one disappointing dish: the fish and chips. The batter was soggy and unappealing, and the fish was bland and lacking in seasoning. I hope they can improve this dish in the future.

My partner chose the mac and cheese with brisket, but even her dish tasted stale and was oilier than expected. My 8-year-old son ordered pizza, which looked undercooked and tasted a bit cold, according to him. After our first bites, a manager surprisingly approached our table to ask how the food was. My partner expressed her dissatisfaction with the mac and cheese, and the manager kindly offered us the chance to order something else. She opted for a cheeseburger, but the patty also had an odd taste. Nothing seemed to be right at our table, so we decided to finish what we could and won't be returning.

Fantastic venue! We organized our fire services district Christmas party here, and Trisha and her team did an outstanding job for us. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar area and had the dining room prepared for our group for dinner. The staff was exceptional, and the food was delicious. We're definitely planning to return next year!

Absolutely loved the Boneshaker Mac briskets – a true culinary delight. The Smokehouse Burger was also impressive, and the diverse beer options added to the overall experience. The fusion of flavors and ambiance made for an unforgettable dining

If I could rate the service more than five, I would. I went over after work with my coworker and our server Brittany did a fantastic job. We were in the mood for a good beer and she recommended space invaders we loved them! She made sure to check in on us, and was always friendly. I’ve been in customer service for over 15 years and this was the best service I’ve ever received in any establishment. We were given great food recommendations — I was particularly a fan of the buffalo cauliflower! It was phenomenal. Will be coming back recommending this place to everyone :)Vegetarian options: I try my best to eat less meat they had a few but they all sounded like great options.
