This BBQ is borderline on a religious experience. I'm not kidding, when I had my first bite of Cajun Deep fried Mac Cheese Chili, I experienced my entire BBQ existence in relativistic time spanning an entire millennial. I re-experienced every BBQ I've had in my short 40 years, culminating this exact day and time at Route 23 BBQ. The spicy notes of the chili accompanying the crisp of the fried Mac, the creaminess of the cheese, all created a food symphony in my mouth that likely caused a big bang somewhere in the multiverse. Don't walk, but run, this food item was on special, so act FAST!. It doesn't stop there, it was topped with brisket. 23 BBQ makes the best brisket and pulled pork in Michigan, at least in my humble experience. Maybe it's the best in this universe. I haven't been to other universes and I'm not a scientist so I can't confirm.

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was amazingly friendly. Place was very cute and clean. Family oriented atmosphere . I recommend everyone to try it at least once. My husband and I will be going back for sure. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
