Contribuiți la feedbackI did not have a great experience at this hotel. When checking into our room, the attendant informed us that our reservation had actually been cancelled. I was pretty shocked as we had called to verify earlier that day. I insisted that we had a reservation and that there had been a mistake. She apologized for the inconvenience and said there was no doubt it had been concealed. I began panicking because with the state fair in town and a large concert, hotels were completely booked. Then the attendant said “JUST KIDDING! I was just pulling your leg. You have a reservation”. She had led me on for several minutes. I was taken aback again but tried to laugh it off. Then, she asked how many people were staying. I told her 2 adults and 1 minor. She said that she was going to have to charge us $75 per person for breakfast, and I thought she was joking again. Nope. They expect you to pay an extra $75 per person in addition to your room charge for breakfast and the option for a happy hour. She said that we only indicated 1 adult for the stay on our reservation. I let her know that this was incorrect. Then, when she rang us up, I realized she was charging me the full amount for our room. I explained we had already paid in full for the reservation for two adults to stay in the room. She insisted that we had not paid and that we had only reserved for 1 person. I told her our receipt showed the opposite, but she would not listen. We ended up paying for the room out of desperation and she didn’t charge us for the other adult as a “favor”.The room itself was okay except there were short black hairs on the bathroom floor and dirt in the corners. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good.Fast forward four days later, our security deposit still hadn’t been refunded and we got double charged. Costumer service helped rectifying the situation and was very helpful. All in all, our service at this hotel was unprofessional and upsetting. I would not recommend staying here.
I don’t write reviews often (I do , but I had to take the time to do this. Embassy Suites by Hilton Syracuse surpassed my expectations. For the price and the unassuming location, I didn’t expect such a treat inside. The reception was nice, and the room was a great size. The giant atrium made it feel like a mini resort type hotel. The included(! breakfast is also one of the best I’ve seen made to order omelets and tons of other hot options. It’s randomly very nice. There were a couple of things that could’ve been better like the automatic coffee machines weren’t great and the shower didn’t have any product in the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers, but overall:I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel.
Heavily impressed with the warm welcome from Tati, but furthermore, how hands on Christine the GM was. From assisting with questions upon check in to helping the bar out with reception, she exemplifies all good things in hospitality. She’s a great ambassador for this beautiful establishment and we look forward to future stays! Furthermore, Cameron the director of Food and Beverage worked hard to assist in the flow of reception and appease all guest’s with a kind demeanor. 10/10!
Check in, totally fine, booked the large family room, on the 4th floor.Beds haven't been made. Informed hotel reception, no problem we'll send up housekeeping. All they did was drop off sheets. No pillows, had to go back to reception to ask for those, twice. Finally got some pillows and the cases were filthy.Made the bed myself, no covers for the comforters. Honestly, do better......I'm sure there are better hotels you should spend your hard earned cash in, I would avoid this one.
Sitting here watching a poor sweet young woman trying to deal with a mob scene at the bar during the now two drink only reception. She has no help and is overwhelmed. There are 30 people in line for a beverage…looks like the security line at Atlanta Hartsfield. The room is filthy, and the AC barely works. The front desk people are very nice. You can just tell that Hilton in the USA does not care anymore. I am a Lifetime Diamond Member so I can compare and contrast. International travel is still great with Hilton but in the USA it stinks. In the last month I have stayed at a Hilton, and a Home 2. The Home 2 was new and nice. Recently, a Garden Inn tried to charge me parking in a large open joint parking lot. Come on Hilton….Really?
