The Branston Cafe - East Staffordshire

I recently visited the Blacksmith’s Arms with two friends for lunch. Normally we would have chosen a chicken or red meat dish but on that occasion we all opted for fish. The restaurant was fairly quiet, it being a Tuesday, but it had a most pleasant atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. And the food was delicious; the cod was beautifully cooked and the ‘real’ chips were superb! The chef had time to come to our table to ask about our meal and we were able to compliment him most highly on the quality of the food. The sticky toffee puddings and cider apple crumble provided a fitting finale. We will most definitely return ...frequently!

This pub is spacious having been knocked through. It is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The beer is Marstons Pedigree and one other. It is well kept and tastes great. The menu is limited and there is entertainment sometimes. It is a good venue for watching sport on TV.

Great family in charge Barney great atmosphere and entertainment with food availability and service with smile. Regular visits to see football, boxing or just listen to some nice singers great for all....lovely garden xx

Popped in here for meal and a drink while visiting Burton. Shaun and Carla are the perfect hosts. Both are full of fun and run an excellent establishment. Nothing is too much trouble for either of them and they work extremely hard to make all customers welcome as do the rest of the staff. The banter is brilliant! Food is really good with a varied menu. There is a lovely garden with seating. Can't wait to return, hopefully on some of the nights that they have entertainment as it sounds really good. Mind you Shaun is very entertaining on his own!!
