I visited this restaurant for the first time and I believe it will be my last. This evening, the restaurant was hosting a buffet for our group of about 60 people. However, they were unable to meet the demands of the large group, including inadequate tables, setup, cutlery, staff, food, and services. The duck was served by the owner's son, but not everyone received an equal portion. Most guests were only served a small piece of duck. The main buffet counter could only accommodate 10-20 people, leaving many of us disappointed with our meal.
We visited this restaurant as a sports group of about 65 people. The restaurant had an Asian flair, and when we arrived, there were only a few tables available for guests to seat themselves. The restaurant was supposed to be buffet style, but instead, we were served individually. I ordered the duck, which was poorly cooked and not very flavorful. The dessert consisted of half-melted ice and fresh fruit. We ended up paying $50 per person, which included a $3 corkage fee. We had to open our own drinks with ice tongs to pour them ourselves, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a disappointing and overpriced experience. Not to mention the strange garden plants outside the restaurant.
We booked a table for four at Blue Moon Restaurant on October 31st. Despite its exterior giving the appearance of an old-timer museum rather than a restaurant, the interior dining room was charming and cozy, decorated in an original outback style. The restaurant is a family-run business with very friendly owners. The Asian cuisine was delicious from start to finish, with the entrees and desserts being particular highlights. Service was prompt but not rushed, allowing us to enjoy each course at the right pace. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem. Please note that Blue Moon Restaurant is BYO for beer and wine, and they only accept cash payments.
