Village Bistro - East Setauket

Best food Ive had in a while. Good staff. There was a weird little plastic sliver in my girlfriend’s paella, when brought to the attention of the waiter, we were comped dessert. It’s a weird thing, but not the end of the world. Also, the menu online is different than what’s in the restaurant. Lastly, there should be a little divider between the noisy bar area and the intimate dining room. Maybe management needs to put another 5% of effort in. Despite these small issues, I’d visit again in a heartbeat because the food was just that good. Cooked perfectly. Not over or underseasoned. Portions were appropriate, and the missing menu items were provided. So 5 stars.

Delicious food, a very friendly staff. Jessica was a great knowledgeable waitress. Had the stuffed flounder. Was fantastic, vegetables were perfectly cooked as well, the risotto creamy and flavorful. Only bad thing is my friend got the pork chop and it blew away my dish and I was jealous I didn't get it. Visit number 2: got the pork chop this time, and it was amazing. My wife had the ribeye, else was equally pleased. The watermelon salad, was absolutely heavenly.

Place was cozy and comfortable. We sat in the bar area. Service was nice but very slow. We had bar food which was good. However when the place started filling up and they needed to flip the table, which I understand...but we were rushed out. I was literally still biting my sandwich and the owner asked if I wanted my fries wrapped up and was taking my plate away. Then got over charged for a drink that we didn 't have, so that left a bad taste in my mouth. I would go there again to try the entrees. Seemed like they catered to regulars and rushed people out to make room.

Absolutely fantastic spot. Bliss is better than 90% of the restaurants on Long Island! Great bar! Amazing food and service! Their bartenders are top notch! Their double cut pork chop is one of the best around! Highly recommend!!!
