Bagel Cafe Maru - East Rockaway

I typically go to Maru for breakfast nearly every weekend, and I always love ordering the bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted everything bagel – it's always excellent. I really appreciate that they answer their phones, which makes it easy to place a pick-up order ahead of time. Overall, it's a reliable breakfast spot in East Rockaway!

I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich, but I did find some eggshells in it. I would respectfully recommend that the cook work on this issue. Thank you!

I want to begin by mentioning that the bagels at Maru Bagel are noticeably smaller than those at most other breakfast bagel shops. I spent $18 on three bagels and an orange juice. However, they do have a fantastic variety of lunch options, including sandwiches, breakfast wraps, and egg dishes. I appreciate visiting this local spot because they offer an excellent selection of cream cheeses. In my view, they have the best pumpkin cream cheese around. You definitely need to try the cinnamon French toast bagel with the pumpkin cream cheese—it's absolutely delicious!

Recommend! Bagels and muffins are freshly made on premises, and are delicious, as is the coffee. I bought 2 dozen bagels to bring to my son in Rhode Island because New York bagels are the best (along with NJ ones). The staff is great, and has a sense of humor. Wish this Cafe was located in my town in New Jersey!

I just picked up amazing hot pancakes! So light and delicious.with everything I needed in the bag, syrup butter, plate and forks .I love this place. The chicken Caesar wrap is a winner. Maura is so nice and runs a great bagel shop.
