Lovely traditional pub with excellent food, high quality, decent portions and good service. 4 nice enough if a little unexciting cask beers. Highly recommended

Having cycled around the Wolds all morning and found the locals pubs shut at lunchtime we decided to try here. We got the last free table. Absolutely no complaints from us. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and we had no trouble in deciding what to eat. What’s more the food was nicely presented and tasted great!

Where to start! You know you are onto a winner when you can actually call the place you are booking for and they answer in a cheery manner. Then you mention that you are a party of six, same day at very short notice and it is not a problem. From the minute we entered the Triton Inn we were greeted with a marvellous welcome by Sue. Lovely restaurant, lovely table, drinks served straight away (Taylors Landlord among others, fantastic We are already having banter with both Sue and Tony who along with John were brilliant fun all night. Service was impeccable and professional, and having one gluten intolerant among us, Sue went through every single element of the menu to explain which dishes were gluten free, which had traces and which could be made GF. Now to the food dressed crab from Bridlington the best I have ever tasted – ever! Fish and chips, with fish so fresh and beautifully battered, all the other dishes freshly prepared and home made from scratch were all wonderful – they don’t do small, so make sure when you visit that you are good and hungry and you can look forward to a great experience from a team that clearly enjoys what they do, offering brilliant food, drink and hospitality – thank you all so much for a wonderful evening.

Absolutely beautiful eating and a really beautiful place. I was surprised how big it was inside, how small it looks from outside lol all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and let us feel that we cannot wait to go back to another visit.
