The Snaith Chippy Bistro

We are the wrong side of 60 so have had a few fish suppers from chip shops before. Lots to compare to. These were the very best ever. Fish was SO tasty, yes it had flavour. SO fresh. Well cooked and a good size. Not had them from there for some time and yes they have changed ownership and they are SO much better. Good service, friendly staff and price was what we expected. Will be going back.

Contrary to a previous review, I found the portions generous. They offer large small fish, and i found the large fish too big for me! The owners were serving and were friendly and helpful on one occasion we were so busy chatting that they forgot to charge me (obviously i paid when i realised)!

Called last minute and wow I’m glad I did the best fish and chips I’ve had in a while batter crispy and light fish chunky and fresh chips to die for I don’t live near I’ll be here all the time xxxx

Visited this evening for fish and chips, service terrible lady behind counter I think is owner was slap dash, see photo of gravy and curry split down the side. The batter on fish tasteless. Shame has they are new owners, we will not be returning will continue to go to Eggborough chippy which are fab but are miles away from us, Snaith is our local. Peas were a bright green and only half full.
