Contribuiți la feedbackPlace I go-too on every visit to Pocklington, great Korean street food served in a real ale pub. Helpful staff good knowledge of the beers what could you ask for food really good and pleanty full as well
I was doing a cycle tour and stayed in Pocklington for a night. I always look to see if there is a craft beer bar about and luckily for me there was. I sat at the bar for a couple of beers and also ate there after a recommendation from a local. The beer and food were both good. I liked the market town of Pocklington and if I were to visit again which I will I will definitely frequent the Market Tap.
Great range of craft beer, great atmosphere, had some tasty food too. Was an excellent quiz too written by one of staffs Mum, I think, Thanks for a great night
Food freshly cooked, very tasty, Extremely pleasant staff. First time my wife and I had tried this cuisine. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
We are regulars here. We have always been told that they don’t take reservations so we arrived at 6.30 to get a table as we were going to a show at the Arts Centre at 8. It was busy downstairs so we headed upstairs. It was also full but a couple sitting at a large table said they were about to leave and we could sit there. We got drinks from downstairs and ordered food from Yuzu. At about 7.10 a bearded staff member came to us and said that the table was supposed to be reserved. There was no sign, the couple had not mentioned this either. We explained that we had ordered food. The man was apologetic but said we had to leave the table. We reiterated that we had ordered food and could not eat it standing up! He said he was sorry and would offer us complementary drinks but we had to go. We had to ask for a refund and leave as it was full. To be fair to the party who arrived at the table they were also incredulous. When we got downstairs a table had become available (the staff could have checked if other customers were about to leave but did not). Our food order had already been cancelled and we felt pretty humiliated so we left, having to make do with a packet of crisps from another establishment! Incidentally we saw the party who had booked the table leaving 10 minutes after us, so it would seem that this shambles meant Yuzu were down multiple meals. Just a really shabby way to treat customers.
