Red Fort - East Renfrewshire

I was at this restaurant tonight as they were taking part in the eat out promotion. The restaurant is very clean and pleasantly laid out and the staff are friendly. We ordered our drinks and were given menus. I asked the waiter about the £9.95 offer that was advertised as a poster in the front door. He said that he didn't know anything about it and went and spoke to someone. He came back and said that the poster was pre-covid so months out of date. We therefore ordered from the menu and the food was not long in arriving. The food was delicious but just not enough of it to justify the price. I had patia and my guest had chasni but both dishes only had 6 cubes of chicken which wasn't great value considering it cost £8.95 and another £2.95 for rice. Overall a nice meal but too expensive for the portion size.

Hubby and i have reverted to going to red fort after giving up on it for years. They have had a revamp of the menu its worked. Instead of offering a menu with curries that no-one probably buys, they have reduced it to the most popular curries it works! The food is lovely and fres i wouldnt go anywhere else now!

Visited on a Sunday just after they had opened and it was very quiet. But this didn't detract from the food which was very good.. Service was relaxed and helpful. Have had many takeaways from Red Fort but this was first visit I've ate in the restaurant in a long time. Really enjoyed it and look forward to visiting again in the near future..

After reading Tam Cowan’s wonderful review of this place we just had to visit. Food was amazing and all sundries like poppadoms, nan etc were cooked to order. We all went for the buffet and every curry was magic. If you’re looking for a proper curry rather than the modern ‘quantity over quality’ places nearby then do yourself a favour and go to the Red Fort. It’s been in Barrhead for over 40 years so that says it all.

One of the best curry houses around I have a visit here every time I am in the area over the lst 20 years or so the buffet night is excelent
