Caffe Romana - East Renfrewshire

I don't understand the positive reviews, unless we were very unlucky. The staff were great, very attentive and welcoming. My brother and I both ordered the Scottish breakfast. We received one of each: bacon, potato scone, square sausage, and fried egg, with toast. The only thing that was good was the toast. Everything else was undercooked. The potato scone looked soaked in oil. The bacon and sausage were barely cooked. It was disappointing, especially for £8.00 per person.

Whilst on holiday up here and in this shopping centre decided to call in for drinks and cakes and what lovely friendly and helpful service from all the girls here and drinks and cakes so good and price fair as well.would visit again

I stopped by for a quick visit and had a coffee and snack at this restaurant. The coffee was delicious, the tables were clean, and the service was excellent. The location is quite bustling and can get noisy at times.

This small cafe on Uddingston main street is always bustling with activity. The quaint decor and friendly welcome make for a pleasant atmosphere. The selection of cakes and scones was somewhat limited. We tried the hot chocolate, a soft drink, a slightly dry fruit scone, and an overly sweet cake square. The hot chocolate was large and enjoyable. Overall, while the experience was nice, we wouldn't necessarily hurry back to visit again.

Myself and my partner were in East Kilbride from Fort William to get the car serviced. Had 4 hours to kill so we came to East Kilbride shopping center. Hadn't had breakfast so we quite hungry. Came across Caffè Romana....Well what can I say... Lovely friendly staff, amazingly fresh sandwiches and the Chicken and rice soup was to die for... AmazingThank you!
