Silver's Delight Caribbean - East Point

I was very impressed with my experience. The restaurant wasn't busy, and it is handicap accessible, which is a plus. The parking situation is decent. I was greeted warmly at the door, and the hospitality was exceptional. I ordered takeout, and I noticed they have a new state-of-the-art clean air ventilation system, which is great. The restroom was clean as well. Prices were very competitive, and the food portions were reasonable. The taste was hot and absolutely amazing. However, one downside is the safety concerns at night due to limited lighting both inside and outside the restaurant, so a lot of vigilance is required.

The Shrimp Jambalaya resembled Shrimp Fried Rice and tasted even worse. The Jerk Shrimp was merely spicy with no real flavor. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand; they also have a p86 from their Health Inspection. I wasted $33, and now I have to cook for myself.

The curry chicken was excellent; I sampled all my food before leaving and couldn’t resist going back for more plantains. This is, hands down, the best Caribbean food I’ve had since moving to Atlanta.

It took over 30 minutes for 8 jerk shrimp and a salad!!! The person taking the orders should have been more pleasant. I probably won?t go back even though the restaurant is close to my house.

The portion sizes are impressive. I ordered the curry goat, but I have to say it was unexpectedly very spicy. The heat made it difficult to fully enjoy the meat. I almost thought it was too intense to handle!
