Tastey's Gail's Southern Style Soul Food

Quaint and full of character. We adore this place for several reasons. It's not pretentious, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of the comfort of our childhood homes. As you wait, you can actually smell the mac and cheese, and sometimes the TV is loud enough to make the wait more bearable. We truly enjoy it. The food is delicious, hearty, and served in generous portions, so make sure to arrive on an empty stomach. We've been here several times and will definitely return. We highly recommend you give it a try!

For those who treasured the local soul food classics like John's Restaurant or Steward's Restaurant, Tastey’s will take you back in time! Every bite is a delightful trip down memory lane, exuding pure 90s nostalgia. Honestly, everything I tried was delicious! The only thing I wasn't thrilled about were the chicken wings; they could use a bit more seasoning or flavor. But aside from that, everything else was excellent! I definitely give it a well-deserved five stars! Ms. Gayle, the owner, is incredibly kind and courteous. I've already been there twice in one week, and I plan to go back again soon! One tip: if you choose to dine in, the atmosphere is cozy and clean, and they provide antibacterial hand wipes on each table.

The food is excellent and the portions are generous! Although the wait can sometimes be a bit longer, it’s definitely worth it.

The menu says breakfast until 2pm. We got there at 1 and they weren't serving breakfast anymore! I drove 30 minutes for breakfast
