East Moline Coffee Company

Passing through on my way to Peoria I needed somewhere to stop to do some work for a bit while I had some coffee. I saw this one on the map with the high rating so thought I would give it a try. I’m always looking for somewhere new in the Quad cities as I often come here to do work. The first thing that caught my eye going in was the “Live a Great Story” sticker on the mailbox, which happened to be the same as the shirt I was wearing. Good vibes already! I got my usual dark roast with a shot, Service was great and fast. As I sat working , I was able to see a flow of traffic coming through on a Friday late afternoon. Everybody seem to be happy with their experience, and while the baristas were often enjoying each other‘s company, which sounded like they were trying to get to know each other, as soon as customers came in, they were, right at it, helpful and friendly. While I rarely get to this part of the Quad cities, I’ll have to bring my wife in when visiting my son at college as it has Harry Potter theme drinks listed on the wall and she’s a huge fan.

Went there for the first time last weekend (6/1) and it definitely did not disappoint! Cozy is the name of the game in regards to the aesthetic. Very inviting and fast on the service. Everybody is on their hustle behind the counter and the quality of my coffee did not suffer. Took home a bag of coffee beans (caramel chocolate truffle) and was devine delectable and delicious! A new tradition a couple times out of the month. Yeah pretty much!

Absolute best drinks I've had. Great place to hang out with friends, Study, Or Just to chill out and enjoy the drink.

EMCO has great coffee, energy drinks and atmosphere. Yet, the service is extremely lacking. It is very slow. The workers are mainly standing around talking. I received my coffee about 25 minutes after I arrived. EMCO did not have a lot of patrons at the time. Amazing coffee, really needs to work on service. Working people don’t plan on spending nearly 30 mins in a coffee shop waiting.
