Picture yourself sitting by a window on a cold winter day, watching people pass by while you stay warm and bask in the sunlight. The experience is wonderful, isn't it? Although it is a bit expensive, it is reasonable considering its location in downtown East Lansing. I may not visit this restaurant every week, but it is a great place to visit once every one or two months.
The review is not about food, it's about store hours. I love their crepes and waffles so much! But I went there yesterday around 2 pm, and it was closes. I went today around 6 pm. Closed again. But according to the Google hours and website, it should be open. Could you please fix this?
What an adorable spot. The space is charming in design and comfort. The crepes were both pleasing to the eye and tasted delicious. The Campfire was outstanding!
We went for an early lunch on a Saturday. The savory crepes are REALLY good and quite large. $16 before tax. The ingredients were beautiful and fresh and they came with a small salad or fruit cup. We didn't try the sweet crepes. The small tables were full so we shared a large table with people we didn't know. The decor is bright white with stained wood tabletops. They work very hard to avoid single-use tableware. It takes a while to make crepes so be prepared to wait. They do not serve soda and I was tempted by the little coffee bar. Each dining group got at least one jug of water at the table. There is VERY limited street parking nearby and you should plan to pay to park in a ramp.
The restaurant is severely understaffed, especially for a college town where there is a rush after classes. My girlfriend and I tried to stop by on a Saturday at 6pm, but they were closed without any explanation. We decided to give it another try, and ordered to-go crepes: The Paris and a cinnamon roll with vegan modifications. Unfortunately, they were out of vegan options other than fruit and crepe batter, despite what their menu indicated. We waited 40 minutes for our crepes, even though there were only two other tables ahead of us. The staff seemed stressed and avoided eye contact. The crepes were average, and I probably wouldn't return unless my friends or girlfriend wanted to go for brunch.
