The golf course is just a short ride down the street and was challenging and well taken care of. The rooms were in the middle of some upgrades during our visit, so although my opinion of the room wasn't great, I'm sure they will be improving very soon. The restaurant was a buffet for breakfast which was better than average, but the dinner was well above average and we really enjoyed the plating, use of seasonal ingredients, and flavors.
This charming old restaurant has a lot of character. We only stayed at the hotel and didn't play golf. The rooms are a bit small but very comfortable. There are no fridges in the room, but the premium Nespresso machine is a nice touch. Be sure to inform them if you have mobility issues before your stay. Our room was in a wing that is only accessible by stairs, and the main entrance requires using stairs to bring in luggage. The staff is mostly helpful, especially at the restaurant, where they even offered to bring our drinks outside onto the terrace. However, the bellboy just watched as we carried our luggage. The on-site restaurant is excellent and definitely worth a try. The pool is heated and fairly sheltered from the wind.
The Pines is fantastic, great food, service and hospitality. They are still renovating and things may be not be 100%, but the staff and management will do everything to make your stay most comfortable. We find that the all go out of their way to keep things happy and pleasurable. Got questions, ask for answers. It will be an amazing place when Reno's are done and completed. Highly recommended for family stay vaca, meetings, golfing weekends and more.
The restaurant is situated in a great location with a view of the ocean from the lounge. There are board games available in the lounge and the service in the dining area was fantastic. One downside was that I was charged twice on my credit card for the whole stay, although it was resolved eventually. Additionally, there was no map of the grounds for guests to explore. Overall, I would recommend Digby Pines to a friend, but I believe there are areas for improvement at the resort.
The hotel harkens from another era. It's full of charm, and the grounds are pleasant. My room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The furnishings were just a tad worn but still in decent enough shape that I wouldn't say it's a negative. What takes this hotel over the top is the dining and the staff. We were Wow'd by the kindness and hospitality we were shown. I'd return in a heartbeat.
