Rose And Crown - East Hertfordshire

Having used this pub alot since the 70s ..was a bit put out when told by Sean he 's fed up with me asking for a pint with not too much froth please as if I 'm ripping him off...which I wouldn 't do anyway...so now I am barred.....but not for long..... Bondsy.

Unusually quiet today for Sunday lunchtime. Probably too hot for many. Too hot for a roast dinner. But perfect for a couple of cooling pints.

Stopped here for a sunday lunch 1 pm after our 1st beautiful walk in the area. Albeit a small menu on the wall, good choice, something for everyone. More importantly fantastic food, we both had roast chicken and everything on the plate was cooked to perfection, loved the roasties, carrot mash and gravy as well as the chicken. Pleasant and friendly staff, not over-attentive. The pub was very quiet, so we Il definitely be bringing our friends next time : Thankyou!

Lovely service cosy in winter and lots of out door space for summer...Sunday Roadt and burgers to die for

Seany and his family provide a nice little pub with good food at a very reasonable price. A good place to start/end a country walk, as it is surrounded by lovely countryside with plenty of footpaths.
