Hampton Chutney Co. - East Hampton

This is one of my favorite spots to visit! The prices are great, and the food and drinks are excellent. I’ve been a customer since before they moved to this new location. While I enjoyed the previous spot, this one is conveniently situated right next to East Hampton Station.

The cuisine here is excellent, with perfectly seasoned dishes that aren't overpowering. The music adds to the pleasant atmosphere, but the high-top seating can be a bit uncomfortable. It's an ideal spot for anyone seeking delicious takeout.

We initially stopped next door to pick up a takeout sandwich because we were pressed for time and the line was long. As luck would have it, the train to Manhattan was slightly delayed, giving us a few extra minutes. While waiting, I noticed a stream of people walking out with these enticing juices that had my mouth watering. I couldn’t resist asking one of them what they ordered, and they told me it was watermelon juice. I was sold and grabbed one to go. It was incredibly refreshing! Oh, and I even spotted Trevor Noah in line in front of me, who got the same juice. I can't wait to come back and try the food—I'll definitely be getting another juice, too!

Surprised to find this Indian street food fusion spot nestled at the back side of East Hampton Village. A great change of pace, with Dosa stuffed lentil/rice flour crepe like pancakes and papadam open face pancake as the vehicle for all of the various fillings/toppings, served with a side of complimentary sauce/chutney. First, the staff is super enthusiastic and helpful. If you're not sure what to order, ask for a taste! The combinations are inventive making use of our standard deli type ingredients turkey, tuna, cheese in addition to standard Indian ingredients for a clever flavor palate. Add this to the smoky toastiness of the wraps fresh off the griddle and you have flavor combinations you'll get nowhere else.
