Contribuiți la feedbackMy first review of a local brewery.Clearly many of these reviews have been written by family and friends. Every beer I have had from there or a package store is either bland or the consistency of used motor oil. Place is nice enough to look at even though the staff has a douchey vibe about them.More brewery reviews to come soon.
Easily my favorite Connecticut brewery, hands-down. This last trip was bittersweet.
This tiny brewery was adorable and quite a nice drive to get to. I love how safe the company is being during COVID-19! The owners and staff are extra careful to maintain a proper pick up service within a flexible time window and were very inviting none-the-less! As for the beer, they have some of the most easily drinkable and nicely varied selections out of all the Connecticut breweries. Consistently wonderful!
Craft breweries don’t get much more homespun than this small-batch seasonal brewery operating out of a barn in rural East Hampton.Fat Orange Cat’s farm is on the Salmon River watershed, giving rise to the exceptionally pure water that goes into a range of brews including well-reviewed IPAS, sours, porters and more. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and fire pits at the homey taproom, as well as outdoor heaters for a cosy time in the colder seasons. You can opt for a flight of four glasses to sample a few beers at once, and pick up a few cans, which have beautiful illustrations.
(Pre COVID Great brewery in a relaxing rural setting. There is a smallish barn on the property that serves as the tap room with a small seating/standing area. They have two separate lines, one for tastings and one for retail/to go orders. There are various seating areas outside throughout the property and ample parking. There are some goats and chickens in a pen (assumably to qualify for a "farm brewery status? . As of 2020 there was no food on site. Check out Lucky Goat Butcher/Deli, Po 's Rice and Spice or DaVinci Pizza for some chow to bring along. Staff was all friendly, attentive and accommodating. As of 2019, they no longer allow kids or dogs on site. Kind of a bummer for those traveling with kids or even just stopping in to pick up a couple 4 packs, but I get it. (During COVID Easy online ordering via SquareSite and hassle free pickup at the brewery. Consider checking out sister business Dexter 's Tunes, Tales and Ales, a used record/book store with a beer garden out back selling FOC as well as other 12% Beer Project products. Just a few miles away in the center of East Hampton. The beer is great. There is definitely a focus on what 's currently popular here New England IPA 's and some occasional fruity sours and breakfast stouts. I would prefer some more European styles, but I get that they need to sell to their market. Prices are pretty standard for a smaller brewery.
