Contribuiți la feedbackFeatured and recommended in the Good Pub Guide and Good Beer Guide. Locals' village pub. Light lunch of an excellent home made pea and ham soup. An average prawn cocktail. A benefit is smaller portions are available with the main courses. Doggy friendly. Log burner in the cosy public bar. Probably lost some of its pubby charm following refurbishment. Friendly crew.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant from beginning to end. The staff, atmosphere, and food were all excellent. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was cooked perfectly and served hot. We couldn't find any faults. We are staying in Dawlish and will be returning in April, and we will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.
We all ordered the Sunday roast with beef. Unfortunately, the meat was very tough and difficult to cut, so we couldn't eat it. The gravy was watery and there was a very limited amount of vegetables. We only received a few carrots, 2 small pieces of broccoli, 4 small roast potatoes, and a ramekin of cauliflower cheese to share between 3 people.
We decided to dine at the Half Moon Inn based on its excellent Trip Advisor rating. Booking a table was simple over the phone, and we received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were satisfying without being overwhelming.
We attended a wake at the Half Moon. Just had to write a review on the food served. The veggie lasagne was gorgeous! also the Steak Ale casserole was very nice too. Being disabled, although the loos aren't accessible they made every effort to make sure I was comfortable.
