Rocco's Pizza - East Berlin

We are from New York where pizza is fantastic, but this is the best pizza we’ve ever had. The mozzarella is incredibly fresh and light, and the crust is perfectly crisp. The sauce, made with fresh local tomatoes, is outstanding. We also shared the spaghetti and meatballs, which was topped with fresh sauce and basil from their garden. It’s so refreshing to find places like this still thriving in today’s world. We really appreciate the use of fresh ingredients. I would gladly drive 8 hours just for that Sicilian pizza!

The person who took our order even asked if we wanted onions, but we ended up with a cheesesteak that had onions anyway. The pizza was burnt, yet somehow the crust was still mushy, like it had been soaked in water. I really thought this place was improving after my last few orders, but after this experience, I won't be ordering from here again. It feels like I wasted $30.

I ordered a grilled buffalo chicken sub. The bread was quite good, but the chicken itself was a dry, overcooked piece that tasted more like processed sandwich meat with buffalo sauce. I had requested lettuce and tomato, but as you can see, there were none at all. I managed to eat about half of it before deciding to throw it away. Sorry, but I won't be returning for this dish in the future.

East Berlin’s best pizza shop. My family orders pizza from Rocco’s once a week. The pizza is always great quality. Our favorite is the plain cheese pizza. It is always cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The staff is friendly and always easy to talk to, which is why we love ordering from Rocco’s.

This place really cares, and it shows in the food. Top of the family owned businesses.
