Contribuiți la feedbackI really like the restaurant. Now, when I was 23 years old, my friend, Casey, works there.
Friday evening, nine friends and I had dinner at Zoe's. Most of the food brought to us was cold. I ordered beer batter fish and cold rice was brought. Rice was replaced with cold French fries, which I didn't send back because of not wanting it replaced with the same cold fries. The fish didn't look or taste like beer battered. My friend ordered breaded fish which she said didn't taste or look like breaded fish. She had me look and taste it and it was horrible Two Corned beef dinners were dry, and cold and not sent back but taken home to be thrown away. Seven did not complain but disposed of their meals at home. only one was satisfied with her meal. It was seafood over penne pasta. We've seen their prices escalate over the years which we understand as all food prices have incredibly risen. We have decided, as a group not to return. Food.....not good and cold. Prices out of sight. One good thing, our waitress exceeded in service and expediency. She remembers us every time we are there and always gives a greeting.
Great ambience. The server was very polite and helpful. Our food had a lot of flavor. Really enjoyed eating it.
The restaurant is clean was a pleasant environment. Our servers were friendly. They also have lots of seeing available at 5:30 on a Saturday night. I know that Zoe has been talked up as having wonderful food, but it was just okay. I did not like the eggplant dip, but that might have been personal preference. It tasted like cut up eggplant and garlic and that's it. I was expecting something more. We were served a different kind of pita than the one we ordered, and it took awhile to get the right pita. I got the souvlaki salad with beef. The beef was marinated well and cooked exactly the way I ordered it. The salad itself was lacking. I opted for no onions, so I had pieces of tomato and probably an entire lettuce head's worth of greens, every single piece about two or three times larger than convenient to eat, so it was kind of work for a salad. In addition to overdoing the lettuce, they overdid the feta. I thought the feta was really flavorless. I expected more tang and zip. These are my American taste buds that like extra flavor on everything, but I disliked it. I ordered the side of tzatziki, which, in my opinion, should come with a souvlaki salad, but it was an additional $3.75. okay, they were upfront about the price, and I agreed to pay it. That also is disappointing. It was very thick with a couple pieces of cucumber in it and again no flavor. Of course when the server asked how everything was, you say it's good because what can they possibly do to change the fact that you don't like it? Nothing. I just made a mental note not to come back.
Great location, deep menu, good food, attentive wait staff. A bit pricey. Full bar. Nice atmosphere.
