Cooks River Canteen - Earlwood

This charming café is a hidden gem with fantastic coffee and mouthwatering toasted sandwiches. The staff is welcoming and the location is convenient, with ample parking, seating, and a playground for children. Just remember to bring cash as they don't accept card payments.

I've visited this restaurant several times and it never fails to impress. The location is great, perfect for a picnic and for the kids to play. Besides, this is the only place in the area apart from Adora that serves a good long black coffee. The crepes are delicious and I tried the special Schnitzel Roll last week, which was amazing. This morning I had a fresh Strudel straight out of the oven that was absolutely divine!

This restaurant is incredible! There are no park canteens like this one anymore. It is located in a beautiful spot by the Cooks River. If you have time, take a walk up the river and enjoy the park. There is also play equipment for kids. The menu at the Canteen is simple and perfect for a break after a stroll or bike ride.

Great spot to bring the kids. Even a table tennis table and hoops to shoot. Cafe available for the kids babycinos and a they serve relly good coffee. We shared the kransky roll with sauerkraut, a cuban jaffle and home made almond croissant. No indoor seating so not ideal in the rain as just a few seats under the awning. But great when weather's dry.

One of the great things about living in Earlwood is this little canteen by the river. They serve great coffee and a decent range of simple home made meals. We had a kids birthday party there and they went to a lot of trouble to make it work. Highly recommended. .
